Need help in ohio

My family is taking a vacation to Geneva on the lake in ohio in two weeks. I am taking my kayak to do some fishing while I am there. Amlnyone from the area that can give me some ideas on where to go and what to fish for? Or what's biting on lake erie in that area?

I would do a search on Lake Erie charters in Fairport Harbor and see if any have slots open. It’s walleye and perch season now. You can also catch some nice size steelhead in that area of the lake. Fairport Harbor is just a little west from Geneva.

The marina is in the state park and you can fish for smallmouth along the rocks, and several other species in the harbor. If the lake is nice the walleye may be in close but not sure about where they are right now. If you see an old guy with glasses waving that might be me! Lol good luck to you

If you have a yak (and you do), Wheelers Creek is a mile or so west of the strip. Got a large patch of lillies and little access from shore. There be monsters there. Plan on losing some tackle, though. Or 1/2 mile east of GOTL is Indian Creek. I haven't personally fished it in a couple years. Did well there in the past.
