I took a few days off and was up on the San Francisco Peninsula, got back yesterday and out this morning in South Mesquite Bay. I was casting a yellow Square bill in 18 ft of water and watched stripers chasing it to the kayak. Next cast I get a hit and I see about 12 - 15 fish chasing the two stripers I've got hooked, one on each treble hook. I was in and out of a school of stripers for the next hour and a half and caught 10 or so, most are only 11-12 in. Trying to catch their grandpa but never did find him. Fun day.

My crankbait which is a yellow square bill immediately dives down about 6 ft maybe gets to 8' if I crank hard but everything I see chasing it right up to the kayak are small unfortunately. I'll try again Monday.

Hey AZ, no I saw quite a few trucks in the parking lot from the tournament guys but I did not fish it as I never had a hit on throwing plastic worms for several hours this morning. Stripers don't count in the tournament but it would have been a fun morning but again they were short.
