Fishing Petaluma river

I've seen posts about fishing for stripers on the petaluma river. Does anyone know how safe the fish are to eat. Petaluma is not really a river, but a tidal area with runoff from the streets flowing into the river. Safe to eat the fish??

Absolutely brother. I eat them bout once a week and give LOTS of it away to my older friends who can't/don't fish anymore and everybody loves it.
Was out there today and we caught 21 or 22 in 4 hours.
I kept 2 that were both 22 inches.
