Been guiding a friend visiting from Florida for last 4 days. Been working hard to put him on different types of bass fishery from small lakes, big lakes and rivers. I’ve done everything to get him bent, but have been delinquent in taking any photos. But just getting ready today to load up and call it, I managed this nice Northern Largemouth. The topper was it was on one of my homemade baits. All fish in last 4 days released to fight again. Tight lines to all

Wow JB, that's a beauty. I wish ours grew that big on a regular basis. Glad to hear you're having fun.

Really nice fish JB, looks to be well over 5lbs. Tried to copy and make one of your homemade baits, but lost it to a tree on the second cast. Keep them coming my friend

Hey Mr Connecticut,,,,
I live in montana. 35 years
I'm from Stratford CT.
I fished for big bass in spring in the river. shepaug river from lake llinonah
I caught more 5 to 8 pound bass from that area...
Hope that helps..those bass head back to the lake after they spawn out...
Just night crawlers split shot 6 lb strength line...

Thanks F4f. I fish Lilly several times a year, including the Shepaug arm. Things have changed a little in 35 yrs. With at least 25 or 30 club tournaments every year the pressure on the fish is extremely high. Nearly every weekend there's 1 or 2 clubs there. It takes the fish a while to recover.LOL. Strictly artificial for me Joe, no bait. Thanks for the info.
