I'm new to the area and live near the Yellow River by the route 87 bridge. I wanted to put in a kayak there and try some large mouth bass fishing. Any information would greatly be appreciated I plan on using artificials on a Carolina rig. Thank you
First try junebug on a Texas rig. Then a crank bait. And a lot of the guys use spinner baits. Which ever you like to fish with will catch fish. Good luck.
Sir right now the little bass are tearing it up but you can pick up a decent one every now and then. Went to Miller's today and caught several 10 to 14 inchers and one about 3 pounds. Thats the way they are running.Just have to keep checking them out till the better ones start biting. Bill
That's not bad for this time of the year. Thanks again
I tried looking for Miller's and saw a creek towards Navarre is that where you were talking about or somewhere else? I'm very new to this area thanks for any more additional information. Rich
Miller's is in Harold some where about 5 miles east of Milton. They charge $100 a year to launch there. It's about 4 miles up river from HWY 87. Rich I'm having a heart operation this coming week or I would offer to show you some of these landing. Give me a couple of weeks and get back with me and I'll give you a tour of Yellow River. Good luck and I hope you catch tthem. Bill
Thank you for all your help. I'll definitely hook up with you down the road. I'm heading back to Texas for a couple of weeks. Prayers for you and a speedy recovery.
