Flicker Shad vs. Flicker Minnow

I have both Berkley flicker shad and flicker minnows. I have found little difference in success when fishing them against each other. Can anyone justify buying both? Is it just a sales gimmick? I have not tied on a flicker minnow in quite a while as the flicker shad often go on sale.

I believe the Flicker Minnows will dive deeper than the Shad’s. This will make a difference when trolling.

I usually hook a drop weight 48 inches in front of the lure when trolling, sometimes to 40 feet, so It doesn't make much difference. Thanks for the input
