I saw this place on a crypto fishing YouTube video from a guy fishing in Maryland. He caught snakehead and bass. Man I'd love to hook a fighting snakehead but I got skunked. I parked right on the road where the oxbow trailhead starts but could only get close to the lake in 3 spots. Way too many trees and weeds. Only a weedless frog works. Maybe better in spring/fall but I couldn't find where the beaver dam was supposed to be. Lots of lillypads but didn't get 1 bite.
Then I went down to Patuxant next to Savage Mill trail but the river was so low and narrow it wasn't worth it. I'm not much of a river fisherman, I expected a much larger river not the little stream. Lost 2 more lures then went to Laurel lake (skunked) and lost my new castmaster.
That's 7 lures lost in a week. Is this a record ? Lol
