your in crabbing areas the St. Johns river is full of them, starting up soon as the weather starts to cool. Look around and see if you can see any trap markers. That will give you an idea as to where to start. If from bridges note water depth of floats near by. We used to use just chicken necks of a string and a dip net feel the crab drag in slowly and net um up:-)
Always set up a rod for red fish or black drum you never know might even get a flat fish!
SOB Shrimp will start to run soon too!!
