A side note.
If you are a senior you can apply for a parking pass for state beaches for a cost of $20... However there are black out dates that you can not use your parking pass - Memorial day thru Labor day. I get my parking pass at Bolsa Chica Beach.
The main thing in surf fishing, is location. You need to find troughs, holes RIP currents, places where fish hide and predators find them.
Also look for their food, sand crabs, mussel, clams. If the food is there they will be too. No sense fishing where there are no fish. Look
up ' reading the surf' for info. Tight lines.
