The ODFW "Recreation Report" for the SW district doesn't give any "catching success " in this week's report, but there's plenty of water at the ramps.
I am heading over there (about 45 minutes from my house) next week with a buddy, to see if we can troll for some of the "holdovers". Just grilled the last of the trout in my freezer last Sunday night....so I need to restock ! Probably be trying a Wedding Ring tipped with a night crawler or some steelhead eggs I cured a couple of months ago. Or maybe just toss a RoosterTail or Panther Martin. Trailing a weighted black Muddler fly is also a great try.
Might also just anchor up off the "island" (that becomes a peninsula when the water level drops...hehehe) right near the Takilma ramp, toss some Powerbait, crack a beer and watch the osprey let us know where the trout are. Usually decent catches from shore there, as well.
Hopefully I can get you a firsthand report by Wednesday...rarely get skunked at Lost Creek...we shall see.

PS Jeff...where in the Rogue Valley are you ? Perhaps we can communicate and go chase them together sometime. Shoot me a PM, if you care to. I am in Medford, have boat(s) and always open to finding new fishing buddies, particularly if you can fish on weekdays....not much into jockeying for space on the weekends.
