My name is Linda and I am interested in finding where there is good mountain fishing within 2 hours of Denver Colorado. I am looking for lakes where I can use spincast rod and luers fishing from the shore.I look forward to hearing from anyone who can assist my quest.

What species of fish are you wanting, Trout, salmon,pike, walleye?
The first three species are present in Eleven mile res. #1and 3 are present in Spinney Mtn and Antero res.
I would recommend contacting a fly shop in the Denver area.I know you said you were wanting to spin fish but still contact a fly shop as they generally have a good handle on the opportunities for fishing in the area. Hope this helps.
Nice trout in Lake Granby ,Grand lake and Shadow Mountain. My fav. is Shadow Mountain Big Rainbows and Browns even has some Big Lakers. Williams Fork Res has some great fishing also and you can get a few Northern Pike.Green Mountain Res has some nice bows and even a few Koc's.
