My son (with his buddy) taunting me again with his "see what you're missing dad?" texts while I'm holed up slaving on a keyboard all day! (at least I was sitting in AC and they weren't )

Yes, they are rubbing it in a little, aren't they DC? That's a very fishy looking lake, even though one picture looks like the water's pretty low. Great job boys, and thanks for the pictures.

Those boys definitely have the "knack" for catching fish. I suspect that you have been passing on tips and skills over the years that are paying off for your son! Great to see the next generation enjoying time outdoors!

They certainly do, bric. Whereas I probably would've folded around 9 or 10 (they got on the water at 6) when the temp shot north of 90, it wasn't even a passing thought to them as they powered through and fished the numerous shaded coves till 5. I remember those days but can't do them anymore.

I'll pass that onto them Fred, thanks. The pic where the water looks low is when they came on shore to eat their sandwiches and bank fished a while.

Even though I was jealous that they were on the water and I wasn't, I was happy they weren't spending their idle time frittering away on screens like a lot of their peers. These boys (and a couple others who couldn't make it that day) have known each other since 1st grade and have been fishing since 3rd grade. This is their last summer together as they just graduated from high school, so they're maximizing their fishing time as much as possible before they part ways.

It's their last summer together as they just graduated from high school. So they're cramming in as much "fun" as they can before having to part ways next month. You remember those days. Can't tell you enough how thankful I am that fishing is their "drug" of choice, lol. πŸŽ£πŸ˜…πŸ‘

DC. It's good to see you mentored them well and I'm sure each of their smiles gives you great satisfaction of a job well done in raising them and in your setting a great role model for them to cherish . I'd rather be sitting in their seats than behind a keyboard any day. Raising today's youth with morals ,ethics ,and knowing how to be respectful and considerate is no easy job but looks like you my friend deserve a pay on the back for that accomplishment. They will be the stewards of our sport going forward.πŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²

Thanks Andy; I appreciate that compliment. This is how it all started 17 years ago. I believe that's his "Rosebud."
