Went fishing last nite at the pier in Cape Charles Virginia
Lots of folks fishing , most were catching ribbon fish on silver spoons or bait.
I was told they are a real delicacy in the Korean community but that they have a lot of bones.
Not much else biting when I was there.
I found that gulp swimming minnows any color worked well also and that these fish have big teeth!

Caught a couple 10 years ago at the Smyrna beach inlet. I’m from up north, normally fish the NJ coast. Tossed striper plugs with teaser - the ribbons hit the teaser

Stripers are one of them that don't have dangerous teeth being that are in the bass family. Just sayin that you generally shouldn't try to lip hold most saltwater fish.

Caught several at Apache Pier in North Myrtle Beach this year, was fun to catch. Caught them on pieces of shrimp and a spoon with 4” plastic minnow. Something I had thrown in my small bag I take with me to the beach. Gentleman beside me took them, guess he was filleting them out, said he gets real thin strip of meat from them. Side note, caught my first eel as well, nasty little bugger, slimed my rig up and bent the crap out of it.
