As a few of you already know, I officiated in the MLF for the past 4 years(when my health allowed it). During which time I made some great contacts and friends. On occasion I will receive a text or phone call about baits that are working better than average. Two weeks ago, I received a text about a new color of the Zoom Mag Finesse worm called Sungill. I was lucky enough to find a pack and brought it home. I was working on tackle this morning and saw that pack on the bench. I got one out, rigged it up on 16 lb test and a Buckeye mag shaky head (3/16 oz). I walked out to the sea wall and threw it on my dock corner-which is 14’ deep. I hopped it a few times and it took off. Below is the 4 lbr I had to climb down and pull up on the rocks along my sea wall-HA.
I think I’ll grab a few more packs of these. Note: I did dip about 3/4” of the tail in chartreuse Spike-it before I rigged it.

Nice job Rich. Ironically, I have discovered a new (to me anyway) color of Yum Dinger called Summer Gill. Up here it's been outfishing my go to, Watermelon/ Red flake, by a 2:1 margin. It's good to try new colors.

The Dinger is Summer Gill
The Dinger is Summer Gill...

Fred. That’s good to know. I use the yum dinger quite often. That sungill is a bit different than the one Zoom brand. (Picture attached of worm and set up)

Been using Sungill for the last couple of years. I've found that when Sexy Shad isn't producing Sungill can save the day.

Nice Eye I may have seen them yesterday.

I went to Dicks n Sportsmans Warehouse yesterday looking for the buckeye magnum.
Both had them on the web site.
Neither had them in store.

Picked up 2 different brands similar in style. Both had 4/0 hooks n bait holder spring.

Fred's right about summer gill dinger.
Caught a couple at the EAGLE with them. Biggest was 2.9 lb.

Just picked up 4 pks at Dicks yesterday.
Only place I can find them around here.

Appreciate the new info brother 👍

Good deal Griz.
Dicks is super expensive on most everything. I go through tackle warehouse, where everyone gets free shipping on orders over $50. I request gift cards from here for Father’s Day, birthdays and Christmas.

The dingers was only $3.49.a pk.
Alot of their stuff is high. They have some good deals now n then.

One was buy 5 pks for $10.
The other day was buy 3 get one more free.
I got some of the 6th sense lures. Pay 3 get 3 free. 6 new crankbaits for $30.

Not that I need them 😂

I do have a list of items to order from tackle warehouse.
I started using the underspin jigheads.
Had success with them. TW has a wide variety n I'll get them there 👍

Nicely done Rich… I like that color. P.S. part of me wishes I was still involved in the MLF as the friends I made such as yourself were special. Glad they kept some of the “OG’s” after they changed format and let all us “rookies” go. Stay healthy my friend… and keep catching
