My experience in Santa Cruz is sea bright beach. Park on cypress ave. I fish there a few times a year for perch, stripers and the occasional Halibut. The youtube channel Papa recommends is top notch for how, he also fishes sea bright. I use gulp worms or sand fleas / crabs on a Carolina rig, jerk baits like a lucky craft 110 or other bait fish imitation. You have to move to find the fish and they are not always there 50/50.
