All,
Does anyone know at what temperature the Bonefist vacate the flats (high water temperature)? The water on Key Biscayne is 85+ right now.
Thanks
Sorry Sam, don’t have an answer for you. But the water temperature is so high most bait shops don’t have any good live shrimp in the Keys.
Larry B,
I fished the early morning tide last Saturday. The water temperature is usually 5 degrees lower than the rest of the day. Even so, I did not see even one bonefish. Usually, I'll see as many as a dozen in groups. So, I guess I'm done until the temperature drops again. Who knows when that will be? Heading to N. California to fish the upper Sacramento, the Scott and the Klamath river with my brother who is a guide there. We'll be nymph and dry fly fishing for trout.
Good fishing and tight lines
Thanks Larry, same to you.
