I can see clearly now...

Not sure about exactly where all of the Canadian wild fires are, but for the first time in about 6 weeks our regional skies are back to normal without smoke, haze or particulate matter wafting about.

A rainy weather system seems to have passed over Ontario from what I saw on radar over the past few days and perhaps that has helped to quench the Easterly zone. Not sure about what's going on out West.

Those fires have been devastating, and I hope the landscape makes a solid recovery because that is stunningly beautiful Country up there above the Northern USA.

To quote a favorite song lyric from the rock band the "Who"...I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles today!

Many days we could barely see the 2 utility poles in the foreground, which are only about a quarter mile away! Very happy to see the bright blue skies again! The far distant background is about 12 miles away.

We here on the East coast can so relate Fy. However, ours has been just for a few days at a time on and off unlike your 6 weeks. Even though clear skies make it hotter, I too much rather see the sun.

Good to hear you’re all cleared up Yacker, I don’t normally have any respiratory or eye watering issues but certainly did experience some symptoms earlier this year due to those fires. I’m sure that nature will withstand the temporary catastrophe and return even stronger. Can’t imagine how good the grouse hunting will be in 7 or 8 years.

Thank you everybody for your comments and observations! I think many areas in the Northern latitudes experienced some side affects from those fires...and I sure hope that they are finally under control!

WE have been affected here in central Indiana also. The rains of the last few days has helped to clear the air

Is sure was a bugger when it was at it's peak! Like Bknecht mentioned, it even fiddled with my respiratory system and eyes as well.
