Tried this morning. Picked up two shorts on gulp.
Haven't got any since the beginning of May so it was a good trip. Hope it's a start of a good summer.

No skunk at least! 18" still the minimum in NJ?
1 fish at 18" and over
2 fish at 17" to 17.99"
That's a nice pair! Wow...that slot limit is a tight one between the 17 and 18" mark! You've got some nice eating ahead!
Nice catch. What color gulp?
4" pink but green will work also.
I have white, pink and green. Just curious what the "flavor of the day" was. Need to find another container tho. Can't tell at Target or other stores which of the containers are actually "leak proof."

I went out Thursday and regardless of what color I threw (white, pink, chartreuse, salmon, etc) the fish hit. Only problem was I kept finding the 16 3/4 club members.
When I go I need to have the whole day. Fish, swim, fish, swim, fish try to clean up a little then out to eat if I don't catch any keepers. lol
So far with rehearsals, concerts, teaching lessons and tennis haven't had a weekday. Never go down the shore on weekends, too crowded.

Funny how that works. Statistically you would assume there are just as many in the 17+ as there are below 17. But for some reason your catch tends to skew south of 17.
Ha yes, I’d agree with that logic. And it’s this same type of “luck” that keeps me from being a gambler.
Love catching those sole fishes. They are going nutz down here on Fishbite grubs. I was a hardcore Pink or Chartruse Gulp fisher until I tried these. The colors on the website don't do them justice. They are the same as Gulp. The last two I caught were 21" and 22". You can find the grubs online at Fishbites, the link would not post. I will post my pic's next.
