I made a post earlier in the week about my fishing trip to Lake Gogebic in the Michigan UP. What I didn’t post was the problems I had with my “new” boat. On the way there the connection that holds the battery in place broke. The battery then moved about and broke the plastic case it sits in. As the battery moved about it damaged the quick disconnect to the fuel tank and caused a gas leak. We were able to tie the battery in place cut the disconnect out of the fuel line and went fishing. When I returned home I contacted the boat dealer explaining the issues. Neither of these thanks are considered warranty issues. However the dealer repaired all the issues at no charge calling it a goodwill repair. So if anyone in Indiana is looking for a reputable boat dealer I highly recommend Denny’s Marina on the south side of Indy.

Sorry about your problems with the boat Papa. On another note though, how was the fishing on your trip? Hope you caught a bunch.

The weather was not very good. The accommodations at the The Timbers Rwsort were great. We caught a lot of fish but not very many walleye

Papa Jack..... Way to go giving a shout out to a GOOD business. We need to give each other the pros & cons of who we interact with as consumers to help "sort them out" and patronize the worthy ones.
Thanks !

Thanks for that information. And for the WORST, my daughter took her pontoon in for repairs after a lightning strike (not on the water) and after keeping her boat for nearly a year it came back damaged and still not fully repaired from MARINE CENTER of Indiana. It has several bad reviews on the web as well.

AND I would not send my worst enemy to MARINEWRX in Danville, IN. After spending over $700 and close to a year in their shop my motor still would not start easily nor run right. After being without my boat for most of my vacation In Missouri. Carl Kime, at Wappapello, MO, found parts missing from the carb, carb parts installed incorrectly, carb installed incorrectly, incorrect spark plugs, and defective CDW aftermarket ignition parts. He fixed my 30 year old motor and it runs good as new. Thank you Carl.

lpete, Welcome to the Stage. Glad you found this site. You are pretty lucky that Carl was able to unscrew all the problems caused at MARINEWRX. On behalf of our Indiana users, Thanks for the heads up.
