Another really fun day under the big sky. Fished a little lake today. Dropped the trolling motor, and fished half the lake. About 15 decent fish, smallies & largemouth. One very long largemouth over 5 plus, but freshly spawned out and thin. Give her a couple weeks to fatten up on trout & salmon, and she’ll be a fat girl worth admitting you spent time together. Hahaha. Largemouth came shallow in the weeds on weightless senkos. Smallies came 8-15 ft of water finding them on live forward sonar. All fish released to play another day. Tight lines to all.

Thanks my friend. I take none of this beauty and fishery for granted, it’s not like they are jumping in the boat as I work hard to find them and then get them to bite. And I’m catching some really nice crappie every trip. I haven’t ever caught a crappie in the last 3 years since moving here.

Actually caught my first crappie ever at the M&G earlier this year on a Keitech. You are going to kill it in the coming months JB

Great catches JB! Very cool about those crappie! I know that you enjoy and release styled fishing...but "maybe" squeezing in a meal of deep fried crappie is in your future!?
