I really questioned whether I should or not, but then, what the hay!

I have only had two Mercs, one caught on fire from a leaky carburetor, and it ended up down on the bottom of the Miss. River after I unscrewed it from the transom. The other one I just left in the shed when I moved. I blessed someone else with it. It would not troll down as it should have. 😠😠😠

I think the newer Mercury's are okay but I have had my share of small old Mercury's back in the day will not have another one new or old, my best motors has been Johnson and Evinrude but now with the four strokes you can't beat Yamaha.🎣🎣 That's just my opinion

Wow guys. I have a 2004 60HP 4stroke Merc and that has truly been a wonderful motor.
God only knows how many hours I have on it but it still fires right up, runs strong, get's GREAT gas mileage and will still push my 18 1/2 foot Tracker bout 34 mph fully loaded with 2 people and gear.
You can even ask Ben, Matt, Rhyno or Denny and I think they would concur. Just Sayin.
