No rain on Saturday.
Good morning everybody, the rain that was forecast for Saturday was a no show.but still there was very little action coming out of the water. I'm sure it was not just me because all the other guys on the bank was seeing the same results as I. I got on the water about 5:30 am. By 7:45 I had four small blue gills in my bucket by no starches of the imagination a keeper.I call it quits around10:30. However all was not lost I stayed around until noon praticeing on my cast and talking to some of the other guys who had call it quits as well that proved to be the best part of my day I pick up some really good pointers.you guys here told me that would happen so thanks guys.it's now 3:52am time to get ready for the lake just wanted to give you gu
ys an up date on how it went as promise.

So did you try top water fishing at 5:30am ? Not that it would have been any different but they like to feed from the overnights deposit of bugs on top of the water first thing in the morning.

Yes I did that's where i caught the five or six small blue gills. Thanks plumbobo.

Now you got me thinking i don't know what top water is maybe i dont i thought it ment fishing near the bank in 4' or so.please explain the correct meaning of. Top water. Remember i'm new at this. Thanks plumbobo.

Top water is taking a top water bait like a skittle walker, and that is what I use. All kinds out there its a floating noise making bait. The noise is the sound of a fish struggling. The procedure is called walking the dog. Google it and you will see what I am talking about.

Thanks plumbobo i will Google it now.so far all i been using is live bait like mill worms crickets and worms.
