Hello Sindy, and Welcome to the Stage. What do you fish for down there?
Having a hard time finding shore line fishing on lakes. Bass, trout, salmon. Any kind of fishing. Haven't been able to find lakes open to public
Most surrounded by homes. Sad. Im not from Florida been here 7 years love it just need more places to fish.

There you go Sindy. There's 2 Bait and Tackle shops right there near the boat launch. Good luck and remember, we love pictures.
Lochoose lake is the one site we were run out by bums smoking and drinking. The one where the store restaurant and camp spot. Told us no day fishing. Ran us and some people from out of state off. Told us pay to stay or no fishing. Then told they were closed for season.

Welcome to the stage Sindy. Sorry to hear all this. Heck you'd think Florida would be full of great public fishing everywhere🤪
I hoped, I'm disabled, so I look for places that have shore fishing. Plan on hitting the road. If anyone knows fishing in near by places around outside Florida willing to camp in other states. Lol just want to camp and fish without a boat. Love ya'll for helping out.
Hi , and welcome. Rich here, I live in Leesburg
( about 45 min south of you) on Lake Griffin which is part of the Harris Chain of Lakes. Great bass and crappie fishing and views of the wild life. Do you ever get down this way?
Yes, I have many times passed through. Think I might need a closer look. Thank you letting me know. Any more info. You can send I would appreciate.
Lake Griffin is 9500 acres so there is many places to fish from a boat, however I have caught more fish from my dock. If you want to fish from shore I can show you several places to fish in 3 different Lakes on the chain if you are interested.
If you are interested in relocating I am thinking of selling my Lake house. 3 bedrooms. 3 bath, family room with wet bar, all appliances, boat dock. Boat house with lift and touchless cover. Totally remodeled. If interested I can send you information and pictures or I will. Be happy to show it to you.
Let me know if you want to visit and I'll show you some fishing spots. PM me.
Have a nice day.
Rich
WE are more of an eco state. Shoreline is almost impossible to find due to vegetation
all around them. Most lakes are either spring fed or sink holes....
Just anywhere you go down here unless you go for Salt Water fishing - some beach lines
have piers out on them - ie: 2 piers at St Petersburg from The Bridges to above Clearwater.
My short advice: buy a 12 -14 alum boat give it a try....unless in mobile home park, have
to check their rules.
Or find a partner to fish with
