Depending on the length, it is either an X-Rap or a Jointed Shad Rap (JSR). The X-Rap is around 7 inches long and is a sinking bait. The JSR is from 2 1/2 inches to about 5 inches long and is a floating deep diver bait.
I have a couple of X-Raps but have not caught anything on them as yet, however the JSR is very versatile. I catch LMB, SMB, Walleye, Rainbow Trout and Brown Trout on JSR 4s and JSR 5s in perch and Fire Tiger colors.
