I am traveling to Maine for a vacation and we are going to be at Lake Cobboseecontee. Does anyone know about the fishing there? What is hitting this time of year and on what??
I haven't made it there yet, but I've read into it and I read alot of good reviews.. if you have a kayak you will do better, it's supposedly home to alot of big bass, most of success is off shore, but you can still catch em from the bank... I look forward to going there, it's a wayz from my house. Good luck..
Thank you for your input. We do have a boat so I think that will help. I’m really excited to check that place out. Maybe do some night bank fishing as well.
Yea let me know. It's on my list of places to try this summer, it's a ways away tho...3 + hours but I will try it at some point.

hi,I live 20 minutes from cobboseecontee and fish it 3 or 4 times a year..I'm actually going there tmmrw. I can tell you its a great lake to fish. there's huge white perch,black crappies,trout,large and small mouth bass.it has a lot of little outlets.and its quite long. I've had great luck with worms, and jigs work well on the bass..last summer,I caught enough white perch to make an awesome meaty chowder..but even if you don't fish it..its great for recreation..good luck and enjoy,, another great place to check out is the Belgrade lakes area..it was just stocked on 4/16....
