hi tubie
i see folks fishin at popham sp and reid st pk at each side of the kennebec
not w the n/e side of the river; i live on the other side in phippsburg. theres a coupla parks in bath just south of the shipyard [bath iron wks] got piers and free pking. one has a boat launch. i seen guys there tryin 2 hitch rides with boats: pay for gas, offer cash etc. stripers are in. Good info Smitty. All those spots are 1+ hours from me, so I was hesitant to venture out without a specific destination in mind. I might give it a shot now. Thanks.

Here is a copy of the text: Good morning. Just got back from a 5200 mile month long road trip. I'm preparing my boat for launch. In the meantime maybe you can try the New Hampshire coast for shore fishing. There is reasonable access and parking. Your Maine saltwater registration should be good in New Hampshire. In any case a New Hampshire saltwater license is only $13 and is also good in Massachusetts.
