I don't know anything about your area, but I would start at a local bait shop. Ask questions. Don't expect specifics, but general info is usually available. Areas of deeper water along the beach with a break in the sand bars is usually a good spot to fish. Watch for birds feeding on bait fish, other people fishing, anything that looks like there may be something going on in the water. Good luck.

Welcome aboard Jeremy. Your best bet would be Sabine Pass or Cameron pass. You may find some running the beach but they would probably be beyond the second sandbar. Cracked crab should do the trick. Good luck.
