I went with a friend to Lake Houston dam last night, we were fishing 🎣 with noodles baited with shad. The first noodle we tossed out was going under before we got the second one set, and it was on for a couple of hours. We ended up keeping 13 blues ranging from 10 lbs to 5 lbs on average, we kept 2 smaller ones 1 to 2 lbs but released a lot of them that size. Also caught about 20 needle nosed gar of various sizes up to about 30 inches which were all released. We saw some Raccoons working the shore and about 10 to 15 gators watching 👀 😀 us. Here are a couple of pics 📸

We make floats with pool noodles and 1/2" pvc pipe, use twine for a drop then tie 50 to 70 lb mono about a foot apart with three sections for hooks, bait them with shad, throw them out and wait.

Ah gotcha! Sort of like a suspended trotline or horizontal dropline. That's really clever!👍🎣😎
