It has been a tough spring fishing SML. No winter has led to a plethora of baitfish. Finally, broke the ice with a nice largemouth. Successfully caught and safely released.

Stripers being caught up on Blackwater at night under lights chasing shad up on riprap. Best fishing time 1-5am

I believe this was a largemouth and not Alabama. Reason for this is location of mouth hinge which you could not see in photo

Feel the tongue, alabamas and spotted bass have a small patch of teeth, lmb"s do not
