Hi all,
I’ve been fishing around Champlain on the banks and a few other spots around the area for bass and pike. Anyone have any tips for this time of year as far as lures, presentations, or even spots to check out?
Started a new instagram account for my fishing adventures if anyone wants to follow and connect on there to talk about fishing, it’s @imgonnachum. Hope you’re all doing well and catching em!
Not opposed to targeting other species as well. Been having some decent luck with the bass this year and having a lot of fun with it so i’m just sticking with it for now.
Depends on water conditions are. If weedy try Dingers on a3/0 hook. They come in different sizes and colors. Cast out and just twitch along or reel in and make them swim. Open water a lot will work. Nightcrawlers, spinners, and my favorite is the frog on a small spinner jig! Good luck and have fun!!
Give the red and white dare devil a try..2to3 inch size..retrieve steady fairly fast..just keep casting and retrieving ...good luck..rip some lips!!
I used on recently in a Lake know for bass, trout, and caught a good size pickerel! After I caught the fish I had to run to my truck. It started pouring, thunder and lightning!!!!
Nice pic..bet it gave a decent fight.we could use a good break from the rain..May your rod stay bent..good luck!!
Daredevils are great for pickerel! You really have to rip it soon as it hits the water. Also used a Mepps spinner with gold and yellowtail
Thank you! Also there are small20" or more like in same lake. Never know what's hitting but I think pike have a nasty disposition! Lol
