On Wednesday I go out early till noon then have to get off the lake and head back home to get ready for an evening class I facilitate. It was 11:30 something and I got my first hit of the morning. Up till then not a roll, boil up blow up top water was non existent. I did manage to get the " one'' in whew!! Thought the skunk was going to follow me home๐ฌ. But I did have some deer walk around beside me all morning , they just walked right in the water where I was trying to cast hummmm?? Oh well no skunk but just barely๐๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐บ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ

Sure is a pretty place to fish. No wonder Froggin is your preferred method.
A Texas rigged weightless Senko looks like it would work there too.

It most definitely would and just about anything else when the weather's right. This place boils with blow ups once these pads get established in the main section. A guy can just paddle in the pads ... Wait for a blow up and cast to it "Fish on" the harder part is getting them up and thru this jungle without them wrapping around the stems of the pads. Sitting in a yac trying to pull a 4 or 5# er up over hudge pads that grow 18" to 2' off the water is not always the most graceful act . And that lilly pad "butt crack" that the pads have can hang up a fish in a heart beat. As for the deer they were walking right where I cast for the big girls!!! And they were around for a couple hours. And yes I talk to them and get some head nods and stares! ๐๐Just sayn' ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐บ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ

This group of deer walked in and out of this area for over two hours , even saw the rearing up kicking each other with their front feet. Still much rather they show up instead of those angry beavers that think they own the place.๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐บ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ
