My daughter’s boyfriend and I went fishing for an hour this afternoon in a farm pond and caught a nice “mess” of bream to fry tonight. Very overcast with a light drizzle most of the time but the fish didn’t mind. We also caught several LM, the largest being about 2 lbs. Picture is of one of the smaller ones, about average. Nice afternoon

Nice fishing BD! Farm ponds are the best! Unpressured and always hungry, guaranteed no-skunk zone!

Thanks guys. This pond gets zero management but maintains a great balance of bream and largemouth bass. We have ospreys and bald eagles fishing there every day, in addition to green and blue herons, Canada geese, various and sundry ducks and cormorants. I even had a sand hill crane visit us here in eastern North Carolina last week.
