He is talking about the town of Three Rivers on Hwy CA-65. Just below the South entrance to Sequoia National Park.
The main river that runs through that town is the Kaweah river, there is a middle, north and south fork of the Kaweah.
This area is mostly known for white river rafting with areas of level 4 and 5 rapids. My wife and I almost drowned there on a high water year like this year. There is a small reservoir lake at the bottom of the canyon.
I have no recent reports from there but I would bet it’s still raging.

Yes entrance to Sequoia Nat'l Park on Hwy 198 , all 3 are running very fast , havent heard of anything on the river, Kaweah is rising real fast again, debris in some coves, Bass have been caught in the lake , we went up last week for Crappie but got skunked , 1 drowning at Slick Rock 2 weeks ago , they haven't found the body of the perished man yet , water was at 50° there🙇♂️ We'll be up there at the Lake tomorrow ,will let you know how it went 👍🤙
