I made plans to meet my sister's husband , he 74 and has some difficulty's having had a stroke a few years ago. The cold bothers him so we decided to meet up at around 1 pm. Of course I got there earlier and decided to try my new frog. This little fish almost choked on this thing. So after meeting up with Jim we went to the Red Cross launch ( it's sorta like a hudge pond so we could keep some of the wind off us.
I helped him set up and get his poles rigged and away we went. I was trying to explain some helpful tips to try to get him to get a fish . In doing so and showing him what I was talking about I caught two. He lasted about an hour and we got him loaded up and on his way home. I stayed there and started really getting into them all the rest of the day. Mostly casting to scum covered islands of lilly pads which had a very good outcome. Got 14 today couple 3+#ers and a few 2 1/2 #ers and just some other good fish for a windy day. I used the brown frog most of the day after my brother- in- law left. πŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²

Jer, unfortunately he did not but he had a good blow up on a frog. Due to his limited mobility and issues from his prior stroke he has difficulty just operating the pole and reel especially with the wind being a little gusty at times. He did enjoy himself and we are planning another trip this coming week. This is the first time I've had with him with him in his yac so this was a little bit of a test run to see what type of fishing set up might be best for him to have the best chance to cast, hook, retrieve, and land a fish while staying safe on the yac. Thank you for your response

Same here, I enjoy your great sense of humor and I believe we will get along (all of us) with mutual respect that this sight promotes. Looking forward to "Rippin' some Lips"down at Bald Eagle .

One step at a time, Andy. He got to personally witness a top water blow up. So much fun.
Wishing the best on your next trip for Jim and you. 🎣🎣

First of all kudos for taking your brother -in- law fishing. Speaking from experience taking someone this is physically challenged can be difficult. Thanks for sharing the pictures of the fish nice day

Great report on a successful morning Andy! Very fun to also include your BIL for a while so he could somewhat experience the thrills you get with those top water frogs! Best regards when you guys get to connect again on a future outing!

Grizzly, if you are going to be at M&G.
Bring a Froggin' rod with you,
I'll show you what I do,
The rest will be up to you.
