Going on vacation and will be staying on Pompano Beach, FL. Coming from the East Side of Florida i was wondering what the differences would be so i can pack the correct equipment. Most likely we will surf fish unless we find a nice pier.

https://ameliafishbites.com/fishing-piers-in-florida/I think surf fishing is surf fishing. Bring what you would use at home just make sure you leave room for your wife in the car. Pictures are always appreciated.
Pompano is on the East Coast and has a very nice pier to fish from, Deerfield beach also has a very nice pier to fish from. Surf fishing is great but you get run out around 8am by the local lifeguards. Typically you can jig up the baits (sabiki rig) you need if not they sell shrimp and sand fleas to use.
