I went to the lake last Tuesday morning, got there at 7 , parking lot had 4 trailers usually can have 25 or 30 . That was nice. This past weekend was the winni derby . To crowded for me . No derby next year I heard because the amount of salmon is low . I used a grey ghost and p b smelt lure on lead core with a 8 lb. leader 50’. I put out 2 colors trolling at 1.5 About 9 I started catching rainbows one after the other caught and released 8 of them . At 12 I went back to the landing , another fisherman told me fish and game just stocked the lake . Also I found out they always stock after the derby. A thousand or so of 12 “ rainbows like the ones I caught.and many more salmon. I was hoping for larger fish. It’s o k to catch some smaller ones but I got to be careful on releasing them . Really nice report! You've got a terrific fishery there, and it's nice to know that they keep an eye on the management aspect for the future.

Your outing will not be soon forgotten. Nice choice of flies too! New England is home to many famous...as well as many "quiet" fly tiers that were never out in the limelight that collectively came up with quite a few innovative patterns!
