Buddy and I kayaked Big Pipe Creek west of Detour yesterday. Beautiful day, nice smallie action. River up a little and semi-clear.
Buddy lost large channel cat and carp.
Fished rubber Gulp minnows, rubber worms, and a few live minnows.

Big pipe flows southwest from Taneytown, hooks up with Little Pipe at Detour, then feeds the monocacy near Rocky Ridge.
We launched from and returned to Detour on Big Pipe. It was def fun!

Walkersville is now 'frederick west' as im sure you know but they managed to preserve the Monocacy in that area for the most part. It's been a hot fishing river this spring.
