Sometimes it hurts and most times it needs to be said.
But there is that one exception to being honest when asked:
Does this dress make me look fat?
LOL thatβs when you expect the fight to start. No matter how you answer you will get feedback. If you answer yes then the fight start. If you answer No then you are accused of lying. So either way you wrong. The wife has never asked me so I am blessed. The biggest part for me is hair. She knows and always does well.
The only possible way out of that trap... Bite your tongue and just say "Your Beautiful"..
"Fat and Beautiful" if your feeling lucky!!

Never feel that lucky Doug.
But honesty is a tricky topic at times especially when you know the opposite is being fed.
Seen a post or two on here that I question in my mind are they being honest?
Can't question it and often wonder why. It looks like I have seen it before or heard differently.
Yes, bite the tongue, it will catch up to them in the long run.

You can avoid telling the whole truth without telling a lie. Carefully.

Bob, I alway been honest with my wife. I would not take a million dollars for her, so when I tell her that she makes it looks like a million dollars it the truth...π£π£π£π£
I must say I have never asked that question. Have asked the hair one tho, lol!!!
Ever tried answering, "What do you think? I think it looks nice."
And I hope if I ever trip up inadvertently, Plum, you'll be there to catch me!!!

I'm lucky Bug rarely wears a dress.
When she does we're running late
No time for questions π

With open arms Kandy. But highly doubt you will ever need assistance.
LOL, I have never been asked that question. However, I did once give my honest opinion on an outfit she purchased. The result was not good. I answer those type of questions very carefully now. 47 years of marriage will teach you a few things.
