What started out as a trip for Specks ended up being a decent day for White perch. We got on the Honga river about 0700. Met up with a friend and he told us they weren't where he thought they'd be, so we tried a few other places and nada, nothing. The No see ums were FEROCIOUS! They chewed right through my military grade repellent. After 30 minutes of torture we got out of there and headed up to The Little Choptank to get an almost guaranteed dinner. We got 9, the largest was just over 11", very few throw backs. All were caught on Grass/Opossum shrimp on either a TA #13 spoon or one of my 1/2 oz spinners tipped with the shrimp. They're starting to switch over to minnows according to the stomach contents we saw today, but right now they're putting on weight and eating more shrimp than anything from their spawning run.

After a slow start, looks like you guys hit the jackpot on the Little Choptank! That's a really nice mess of white perch UncleRob. Congratulations!
