Thought I’d add my pics and post to the ones that already have posted and covered the event. It was a great time with great friends and a great turn out. Fishing and weather not so great, but they weren’t the only reasons we were there, it was the opportunity to meet fellow stagers and the camaraderie and friendships that developed.
More boats were there this year, so all had opportunities to get out, thanks to all that brought their boats (thanks Ben and Steve for having me aboard!). Rhyno’s boat was the most unique, he rebuilt it himself and did a fantastic job of it using a combination of ingenuity, flair and just plain old sweat equity. Ryan, you really should post before and after pics with the explanations of the materials you used and sourced, and the home made design features, other stagers would appreciate it, seek and benefit from your ideas and craftsmanship. I was totally impressed.
I don’t have any fish pics as I didn’t catch any, but I do have a few to share of the wildlife and camp. I’m so glad that everyone utilizes “camp 40GRIT” as a home base, it provides me the opportunity to really get to know all and share I and my wife’s mobile vacation retirement home that is currently under utilized as she has yet to retire.
My thanks to Ryan for planning, organizing and heading up this years MnG! Excellent job Brother, so appreciated, love the t-shirt and the food was perfect. A lot of effort on your part!
On a side note, when I returned home my wife informed me that we were hosting a “gender reveal” party that evening for our son and daughter in law——— we’re getting another granddaughter!!!! So it was another eventful day for me.
Looking forward to next years!!
Headed out on the first morning
Just hanging at camp
Grubbing down on biscuits, gravy and eggs, thanks Jeremy!
Even had the Warriors/Lakers game on
Making new friends at adjoining campsites…….
Some of the wildlife

Me either Fred.

However, the eagle wasn't very far from us and kept circling around something in the water.
It wanted to go down and snatch it up but it just lacked the confidence/skills it looked like.
Finally on about the 4th circle getting closer to the water each time it finally lowered it's legs and the talons grabbed at something in the water but I don't think it got it, whatever it was. It then circled around and left.
But it was about 50 yards or so from us and it was over a min that he was flying around by us. VERY COOL.

That's cool Steve. Probably was just learning how to feed himself. Once they get it down, they're awesome fish hunters.

Yeah, that's exactly what I said.
Just think he needs more practice.

Thanks 40D for having the best home base camp on the lake! Also for letting me make my coffee in the mornings! And the propane fire was a real nice! You sure no how to host a camp site!

Some really great pictures Denny, thanks for sharing them with us. Truly enjoyed our chats and getting to know you better, especially finding out your wife was from my home town in Hawaii. What are the chances? You are now a great new friend, and hopefully we can spend some time together in the future.

I honestly believe we all did. Try opening that video again, it may work now (takes time for the stage peeps to review it 😏)

Thanks Matt, my pleasure and like you said, we need to not let a year go by before getting together and wetting a line!

Yes Garey, what are the odds? If you get up the SF way let me know and we can get out in the bay and you can show me some ocean fishing techniques. Even if you and the Mrs. are passing through you could stop by for a visit and adult beverages!

Thanks Bobby! Had a great time also and I got an opportunity to try your great cooking, thank you!
40... it was great to meet you! Thanks for providing a great place for us to get out of the rain. I'm still laughing at some of the stories told around the fire. Fisherman have some whoppers, that's for sure. And seeing Ben make Jeremy speechless was priceless. Already looking forward to next year. I vote that we have it at the same place. Very nice campground and although the location isn't the best, it was easy to just launch from other ramps.
