One of Kids bought a new house. Needed a set of Stairs put off the Front deck to get furniture and such in the house. The deck has a double door off it into the house. The people that sold it took stuff off the back of the deck 80’ or so to the driveway. My Son-in-law asked if I could build a set of stairs. The 5’ wide gate was already on the deck. I had him pour a concrete pad, and made some stairs. And their even Level!

Looks good. Plenty of bracing to handle load. From the rails and wire I'd say it's little kid and pet safe too.

Doug, I have neuropathy and the Dr's want to operate on my neck and my back (pinch sciatic nerve) they say but I'll put that off for a while until the pain gets unbearable but my feet and legs sometimes goes numb to the point that I have to find somewhere to sit down or I'll Just Fall down so in my case heck I can't even walk on level ground sometimes so you see I
need a handrail, and I'll only be 65 come tomorrow πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ but all that said God has blessed me more ways than I could say πŸ™πŸ™ Everyone have a great day 🎣🎣🎣

Yeah, on that handrail you should check, it might be code as well as a good idea. Might even make your insurance a little chesper.

Most areas that follow the IRC codes require railings on stairs and decks with an elevation over 30" or more than 4 risers on the steps.
