They were caught by me and my fishen buddy. From shore using nightcrawlers in about 5 to 10 ft of water. I think they were pre spawn nest buildings since they were all males.

Wow Andy those are some fantastic looking sunfish, I'm amazed at how dark in color they are compared to what we have in Havasu. I was out today and I saw a couple but none of them were interested in the Crawlers I was putting out to them in my kayak. When they get serious around here you can see stones assembled like a landscaper and then really protect their space, it'll happen here in another week or so. I was showing water temp of 72* today and to be 100* this weekend.
