How lucky are you

I am going to be 71 years old in October and I feel very lucky. I have a wonderful wife. We will celebrate our 31 st anniversary in June. I have been retired for 4 years. I went fishing yesterday and today. 30 -40 mile an hour winds and white caps.We are in N Carolina. My wife used to go fish with me a lot. She is 2 years older than me. She once bought me a new bass boat. She never says I go fishing to much . She is a keeper. We are not rich. We save up for most things. We are not extravagant. We get along great. She just bought me a John Deere lawn tractor.She saved up the whole amount.She said she didn’t want me to have a heart attack doing the mowing this summer. A lot of guys talk bad about there wives and make jokes. I appreciate my wife. How many can make that statement. How lucky are you. Bobby

I also have a wonderful wife. She doesn't complain bout me goin fishin and I usually go ALOT.
We're in the process of eventually movin to Brentwood Ca.
When all is said and done with our final move she told me I should buy a NEW BOAT.
We've been married for 48+ years and have known each other for 50 years.
Sometimes you get it right the first time, I surly did. Can't imagine life without her.
I know several of the guys on here feel exactly the same way.
God truly is amazing and showers us with blessings every day.

Good to read a uplifting story about the Gals in our lives HBM. You have done well, living in NC, wonderful wife and a now a John Deere. Well 2 out of 3 ain't bad.
I miss my Kubota as much as that NC fishing when I lived down your way.May your rod be bent and your lines be taut daily.

You just stated the way it is us. Only difference is we are older. Wife has always been afraid to buy on credit. Can’t say the same for some friends. Their wives will think nothing about maxing out credit cards. I also am thankful.

My wife was great! We only had 28 years together, then I lost her to cancer in 2020. She was my soul mate. She would tell me to go fishing whenever she wanted a fish fry, which was pretty often once I cooked up some bluegill filets. She never liked fish much til then, after that it was like she couldn't get enough. Always had long conversations after work, gardener together, walked the dogs together, generally did everything together. The only thing she didn't do much with me was go fishing, but she would try once in a while. Still miss her.

SAME here, but add 13 years to your numbers. Love my John Deere lawn tractor too, just put the trickle charger on it. Just have to first fill the Pot Holes and scrape off the Mole mounds first.

You know I enjoy a good clean wife joke. I always share them with my wife. Truth be told God has blessed me with a wonderful gal. I am a better man because I am married to her! IT will be 47 years in July

My wife and I have been married for 49 years. She has never had a problem with me going fishing. When she goes with me she holds her own. I don’t think I could ever do better.

The one I wanted got away when I was young. And since have struck out twice. I am very unlucky. Have been single since about 1997. Now I am just too old to care and I am too afraid of another bad relationship.
