I’m going bass fishing this week over there looking for some pointers on the lake. This will be my first time going to this lake. I hear it is a tough lake to fish. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Chris

Well, Chris, your handle caught my eye as a fellow Bass Catter but your message doesn't indicate what water you're talking about. More info, please and thank you.

Hey Basscat91,
This was part of the weekly fishing report from the AGFC app that came in this afternoon. You could possibly contact this resort and talk to them about what is going on right now on Norfork. I would also suggest you go to the AGFC app and sign up for the weekly newsletter and fishing report. Good luck this weekend and post some pics of your catchs.

Well sir I don’t really know anything about the lake. I hear it’s clear and deep with no trees. So I’m willing to try anything. I can cover a lot of water if you have suggestions I’m all ears

Mornin, MAS fish. I got a big old duh just now when I read your comment. This one's on me as I didn't even look at the gentleman's subject line. 🙄 Norfork is one of the 1st dams on the White River, downstream from me. The lake's around 15 years older than Table Rock and I surely understand Basscat91's remark about the lack of trees. Fewer sticking above the water line here every year. I miss the days when we would switch from bass'n and tie up in a group of trees where crappie hung out.

Hey TR,
Yes Norfork is a little difficult similar to Bull Shoals unless the water levels are way up and into the brush and shrubs, (which they are only about 5 feet above normal power pool now) partly due to the government strips on the Corps lakes as they went in and clear-cut all the trees prior to the lakes filling. That is why I push for hiring a guide for a trip out on these lakes to somewhat gleen information as to what is working bait/lure wise and also finding some locations that the fish will be hanging out. Also I try to talk to as many locals wether at a marina, bait shops or the folks at the local Walmart. A person really has to do considerable research ahead of a trip and it can still be tough. Basscat91 can be successful if he does a little legwork. I also believe that one of the guide's at Blackburn's Resort there in the Mountain Home area is on the Fishing Stage and can be contacted by PM, I believe his name is Steve. He had a post in the past week about crappie fishing on Norfork in the last week.

Well guys
I was not lied to not many trees here. I’ve had some luck with a spinner bait and a lizard so far. Having a fun trip. I’ll keep you posted.
It exciting to try and figure out new lakes

Hey Bc, glad you are finding some to play. You need to post some pics of your catchs and the beautiful scenery there.
I had some success this morning myself with 56 fish and 9 1/4 pounds of fillets.

I'm late to the party here - but how did it go?
