Caught 9 Bluegill on worms with Bobber. They were all around 2 lbs with the largest weighing in at 2.5 lbs! Plus a couple nice Smallies.
All caught from shore.
Although this IS a forum driven by fisherpersons and their "stories", a tale of a single day catching 9 bluegill ALL over 2lbs and one over 2.5lbs WITHOUT PICTURES....well, buddy.....for me personally, gonna have to provide SOMETHING to back that claim up.
That would indeed be a stellar day, not to mention some good eating, but.....something kinda unpleasant is wafting through the air surrounding that claim, but who knows ? Might just be the male (ie:bull) cattle that are apparently are hanging around this tale, huh ?.......I just can't tell......
The only thing that smells is your ufounded accusations. The reason there are no pictures is because I don't know how to load them on to fishingstage, however I now have sufficient motivation to do so.
IT DOESNT TAKE MUCH
OF A MAN TO CALL SOMEONE A LIAR WITH NO PROOF! I WILL FIGURE IT OUT, POST THE PICTURES AND STAND BY FOR YOUR APOLOGY!!
.
If you have verifiable pics of not just one, but an actual 'mess' of 2lb+ Bluegills, I will make an apology you can tell everyone you know about....GLADLY.
Nice bunch of good sized fish! You definitly had a great day of catching. Thank you for sharing.
Those are some very nice slabs, to be sure. The one you are holding could quite well approach the 2lb mark, I just don't know. In comparison, the ones on the table "look to be" quite healthy, but hardly 2lbs....again...we just don't know.
I believe the operative word in my previous message was..."verifiable"....as in tape measure and more importantly, an easily acquired scale...even a kitchen countertop one.
Caught an enormous amount of bluegill, bulkheads, channel cats, crappie and bass, growing up in Kansas, for the first 30 years of my life.
Just wishing that there is a pond or lake out there somewhere with that kind of fish population.
I see 'closeness', but not 2lbrs...gotta a tape or scale handy for next time ?
The largest one was 2.5 lbs. I weighed 2 of the other typical ones as well weighing 2lbs and 2.1. Weighed on bathroom scales with me and the fish
Thanks DV. I caught them all, right off
the cement drop off edge of the boat ramp. Went back 2 days later caught 4
gills again about the size of the ones pictured
Good Luck and Tight lines!
