Yep my dad used to do this, and out of habit since he set the example, I did it when my kids were small even though they had seat belts on!

On one of my first dates with my now wife of almost 40 years, I had to make a sudden stop to avoid a pedestrian bolting into the street and I instinctively reached over with my arm, slamming into her PFDs. I was super apologetic not wanting her to think I had ulterior motives, and she graciously let it slide given the context, lol.😰πŸ₯΅

Did that same thing on a business trip to Denver. My co-pilot was a Well endowed banker. Instincts die hard!

I still find when I break hard my hand reaches over to the passenger seat even if no one or nothing is there. guess muscle memory is better than actual memory as you get older

Can always get a new wife but a good cell phone is hard to replace.

Cell phones have mute off n volume controls.

Since Bug will not wear a seat belt she's on her own.
