Hey folks, the missus and I are going to San Antonio soon and would like to take a few hours to do a little creek fishing (wading or bank) or bank fishing on lake/river/pond. Not particular about species. Figured we'd take a few rods--bass and light tackle and bait assortment for whatever we encounter. Panfish or white bass on the light is just as welcome as LM/spots on the main gear. Any suggestions for places around there or en route? We'll be heading in on I-10 from the Beaumont area, so don't mind stopping off on the way. When there we'll be staying SE part for a bit then NW. Thanks in advance.
canyon lake is fishing very good right now, especially over by the river. on your way to S.A., there is a non motorized lake in Boerne. Boerne Lake. good luck and enjoy.
