Caught some nice bass this morning at a private lake where my son works. Bass were on beds and a little finicky

Nice Bass bj. Normally they won't eat when on the beds, it's a reaction strike to something invading their space. Normally they will pick up the invader, swim it away from the bed, and spit it out. You have a small window of time to set the hook. If you're bed fishing, please release them so they can continue their spawn.

We generally support both C & R variants ( photo, weigh, etc. ) and those who opt to consume their catch. You are free to do as you please.
