Looking for areas to fish near Durham maine

Hello everyone I'm coming up to Maine to stay at KOA campground for the season and want to do some trout fishing. I don't have a boat so will be doing bank fishing or creek fishing, lakes, ponds. I have studied the laws and will be up May 1st 2023. Anyone have any areas for me to check out? I grew up with four brothers so fishing in WV and Maine is all I know but rushy living in FL last 22 years. As I said don't have a boat waiting until next season. Thanks in advance

There is a way cool guy in WV named WV Mike. He probably has good local advice for you.

There are plenty of used canoes or rowboats around for sale. Just passing along some options.

I found a nice 16 ft boat with motor and trolling fish finder etc..
