Finally made it out with the new boat! Me and a buddy headed to Cataract Lake in west central Indiana. Bad news the first ramp we went to was closed due to high water. Good news there is another ramp close by that was open. Good news we launched .WE spent about 1/2 hour tooling around playing with the Hummingbird Depth/fish finder. I told my buddy I was going to pull out a little into the lake and lower the trolling motor and play with it.Bad news The boat would not start, Somehow the fuel line got a slit in it. No clue as to how that happened. Good news the trolling motor got us back to the ramp. Home safe now off to buy a fuel line.

Sorry to hear that Papa Jack. There's always something to put a fly in your soup. Hopefully it's a quick fix and you'll be back on the water. Did you inquire at the dealer who rigged the boat? Maybe they'll cover the damage.

Kind of a drag. I'd check with the last guys handled the boat. Did you even wet a line?

Got to love shakedown cruises!!
What, no duct tape on board? Used to be bailing wire and duct tape would fix anything. Now days ya have to buy mechanics wire. Sorry your maiden voyage sucked! That's what a shake down trip is for. Find the small problems before they become big problems. Good luck next time out.

Major bummer, fortunately an easy fix.
I consider fuel hoses as 'consumables', like gas and oil. I replace them every couple of years just because I can. They aren't expensive and that way I can avoid a potential problem.
For first time out stay close to home in case there is a.problem I say where you got boat is responsible I hope things get taken care of and you enjoy your time.on the water catch a lot of fish be safe and God bless you
